Judge Leonardo Castro, in our lawsuit Clark, et al v. City of St. Paul, et al,Ramsey County Court File 62-CV-19-857.   We are opposing the City's motion.  We encourage you to attend this public hearing. Petition to Block City's Penalty Power Charter Amendment We have started to collect signatures to allow our residents to vote on  Ordinance 19-18, a new ordinance that the City Council is in the process of enacting. You may recall that this ordinance was first proposed by the City Council last November as Resolution 18-1962.  If enacted, Ord 19-18 would give the City Council broad powers to establish and enforce penalties for violations of ordinances via an amendment to our City Charter.  This petition for a referendum on a city charter amendment is governed by Minn. Stat 410.12, Subd. 7, requiring 2000 signatures.
